Big Dog Boat Storage

May 14, 2024

Memorial Day weekend is just a week and a half away and that means it’s time to get your boats and watercraft ready for the summer. Many of us in Texas refer to this annual maintenance as “Summerizing” which includes washing, polishing and waxing the hull and caring for the vinyl. Often overlooked until after a breakdown on the side of the road are boat and jet ski trailers which also require maintenance annually if not more often depending on mileage. Based on my personal experience; trailer lights, tires, bearings, brakes, bunk boards, and straps should be inspected and maintained or replaced as recommended by a professional each year. This is especially important if you plan on taking your boat to explore “the new lake in Texas” Bois D’arc Lake, or chasing the lunker bass on O.H. Ivie Lake. For those lucky enough to have a boat dock it is also time to find boat trailer storage. Storing an empty trailer in the driveway or back yard of the lake house is fine during the winter, but in the summer, that space can be better used for parking summer guest vehicles.

Big Dog Storage offers secure boat and boat trailer storage on both a short-term and long-term basis at an affordable price. Our facility is fully fenced, well lit, and monitored 24 hours a day 7 days a week with 4K cameras. We are conveniently located on FM 47 a short distance from Lake Tawakoni, Lake Fork, and Cedar Creek Lake.
